Donations to The Alliance for Global Clinical Training sustain educational activities in developing countries that result in improved surgical skills and patient outcomes.

Volunteer surgical and nursing provide their own expenses (about $5000 for a month) in Tanzania.

Surgical Residents are often supported by their parent institution and are able to apply for a scholarship through the Pacific Coast Surgical Association.  Frequently, residents do pay for all of their own expenses.

Donations to the Alliance primarily support administrative support under the umbrella of the American College of Surgeons and costs associated with Surgical Training Courses, which are vital to sustaining this educational effort.
