Donations to The Alliance for Global Clinical Training sustain educational activities in developing countries that result in improved surgical skills and patient outcomes.

Volunteer surgeons and nurses pay their own expenses (about $5000 for a month) in Tanzania.

Surgical Residents may be supported by their parent institution and are able to apply for a scholarship through the Pacific Coast Surgical Association or other regional societies.  Frequently, residents still pay for much of their own expenses.

Donations to the Alliance go primarily towards offering the Surgical Training Courses, which are vital to sustaining thiseducational effort. A small proportion provides administrative support under the umbrella of the American College of Surgeons.
